Castor holds town-wide cleanup

Around 20 people pitched in

Residents of Castor pitched in to clean up the community's Main Street on May 22.

Around 20 people met in the green space between the Town of Castor office and the library for a free barbecue which began at 5:30 p.m.

At the meeting area, there was a sign up sheet where people could register to clean certain sections adjacent to the roadway.

While community members supplied their own gloves, wagons, rakes and other tools, the Town of Castor supplied the garbage bags for the group of volunteers.

Shortly after 6 p.m., the groups dispersed, everyone heading to their section of road to begin cleaning.

The volunteers remained out and about until about 7:30 p.m.
